Luxury Leather

Filter
Leather tanning is without a doubt one of the oldest human activities. In the beginning, skins obtained from hunting and livestock breeding could be used for clothing or tents, but they became stiff at low temperatures, while they degraded with heat. It was then that attempts were made to render them more flexible and stronger by rubbing in fats and oils.

Leather has excellent resistance to abrasion and wind yet remaining soft to the touch and supple. Little wonder it’s a luxury fabric that has stood the passage of time. As such, it ages well as the natural fibres break down, a natural patina begins to appear, thus personalising the piece to the wearer.
